The Opportunity :
The Behavioral & Social Sciences Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott Arizona Campus (ERAU), invites applications for one tenure-track Assistant Professor position. A qualified candidate will have expertise in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or Law & Psychology through at least one of the following: doctoral training, research, and/or practice experience. The candidate should be a generalist but specifically able to teach undergraduate courses in law, criminology, statistics in criminal justice, and victimology. Additional teaching preferences include forensic methodologies, violent crime, profiling, and cybercrime.
The position will begin January 2024. An August 2024 start date is negotiable.

The successful candidate will become an integral part the College of Arts & Sciences, with duties that include:
ERAU faculty are expected to maintain the highest standards of academic excellence in all phases of instruction, research/scholarship/creative activity, and service. The department and its current faculty are committed to the scientist-practitioner approach to education and working side-by-side with students on research and industry collaborations. A successful candidate will be committed to the same.

Applicants must hold a doctorate in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or Law (preferably a JD with an MA/MS in criminology, criminal justice, or psychology) or provide evidence that their degree will be completed by January 2024 or August of 2024, as appropriate.
Candidates must provide evidence of or the potential to conduct and publish quality research and excel in undergraduate teaching and mentoring.
